Rye Town Council has just published the agenda for next Monday's (September 2) meeting of the council at 6:30 pm which features both civil enforcement of parking and what the council spends on the Heritage Centre.
Rye News warned before the council elections that these issues would come back on to the agenda - and they have.
However East Sussex County Council which will be introducing traffic wardens (a step which requires legislation) have already said the scheme will be reviewed around a year after it has been introduced.
The Heritage Centre has been changing its opening hours to save money, but according to the meeting agenda: "the income is falling well short of both previous financial years and budgetary forecast expectations".
However the accounts do not show how many people the centre has helped to find somewhere to stay and how many times visitors have been guided towards other places of interest like Lamb House, the Ypres castle, St Mary's Norman church and the town's many antique shops and art galleries.
