Coffee and cake fuel fundraising

The sun shone on the Street Pastors as they raised money to carry on their important work

Our local Steet Pastors raised over £800, last Saturday, August 6 at their High Street garden party. The event was blessed by glorious sunshine and Nizam Mohammed, the co-ordinator did a great job of tempting in visitors, offering them home made cakes and a selection of stalls, including a tombola, raffle, bric a brac, books and clothes.

The Street Pastors patrol the streets of Rye and Camber every other weekend and funds are needed for the running costs of the "Godmobile" as well as paying for supplies of lollipops, water and flipflops for people in need late at night. Volunteers are always needed, either to go out with the Street Pastors, or stay inside with the Prayer Pastors who offer spiritual support. Rae Festing kindly loaned the Pastors the use of her beautiful garden.
