Money and alcohol stolen in overnight raid at Winchelsea Beach

Sussex Police are investigating after a burglary at the Co-op store at Winchelsea Beach.

Police were called to the scene in the early hours of Friday February 28 after being alerted to the break-in by an alarm at 3am.

Damage at Co-op Winchelsea Beach

A large amount of alcohol and two till boxes were taken during the raid which was thought to involve three men. It is believed they made off in a small dark-coloured car.

Sussex Police say anyone with information should quote reference 113 28/02/25.

The store which was closed for a time has since re-opened with heavy boarding on the main door.
