Clive Parker-Sharp promotes his novel "ConeBoy" via readings and live acoustic music and as part of a short tour promoting his new book, and possibly one of the first post-lockdown live events in the country, there will be a one hour show, with Q&A, and book-signing, at 7pm, on Friday, July 10 at Rye Community Centre (RCC) in Conduit Hill. It's a free event, so please be early to catch a seat!
The Members, Spizz Energi, and Athletico Spizz 80, are a few of the pioneering punk groups Clive Parker-Sharp has played with, as well as being a founding member and songwriter in 80s mega-band Big Country. He also played with Jesus and Mary Chain spinoff The Expressway, as well collaborating with art rocker Marshall Star. Clive’s first book "The Box" came out in 2012, is now being adapted for TV.
His new book, the semi-autobiographical work ConeBoy, is teased out in spoken-word and song by Clive and Marshall. There will be acoustic music, songs, and spoken word with a Q&A and book-signing afterwards, plus meet the author.
