Icklesham Casuals bounced back from the disappointment of losing to Mountfield United on penalties in the East Sussex League Divisional Cup the previous week, to earn three league points with a convincing victory over Bexhill Amateur Athletic Club Reserves at Sidley last Saturday.

A dominant performance from the Casuals saw goals from Mason Maddox and Joe Maylam put the side 2-0 up in the first half with further goals being added by Leon Pettit, Jamie O’Mahoney, George Randall-Stoodley (2) and an own goal from the opposition made the final score 7-0.

The pick of the goals came from O’Mahoney, whose sweet strike found the top corner of the net and a mention also to goalkeeper Jack Davies, whose penalty save ensured the clean sheet.

This Saturday sees a trip to Northiam to take on Northiam Reserves in the Hastings Junior Cup while on Sunday morning the veterans face a strong Sidley United Veterans side at home in the Hastings FA Veterans League.

The club is looking for a match-day manager to help run the team on a Saturday. Anyone interested please email the club at ickleshamcasualsfc@hotmail.com.
