The Bonfire ladies excelled with their cakes, fine plants, interesting bric-à-brac and with extra support from musical maestro Colin Tozer.
The Rye Bonfire team members are no strangers to hard work and fund raise tirelessly each year to stage their spectacular bonfire display that is such a crowd pleaser and pulls in thousands on the night. The costs are rising so they need the support of the public, either by donating coins to the bucket team or directly to the Bonfire office at Adams in the High Street where cash or cheques are both welcome. Rye Bonfire Society needs to raise £10,000 a year to stage the event and the team on Saturday managed to raise £570 towards that target. Many thanks to all who worked so hard and to all those who gave so generously!
