Busy half term for bookshop

Events and activities at Rye Bookshop for October and November

Busy half term for bookshop
KB

All of Rye Bookshop's events, activities and story times went very well during the October half term. The two most popular were the make-your-own-witch's-hat activity, attended by a dozen children, and the author event with Tim Parsons – who has written two children's books about a paramedic called Chris. The books are based on Tim's own experiences volunteering as a paramedic himself. The shop staff were delighted by how many people came along each day and felt supported by locals and visitors alike.

There are a couple of events coming up in November. On Saturday November 17 from 11am,  author Colin Bateman will be at the shop signing copies of his book A Dreadful Trade. His book is a crime novel set locally.

On Saturday November 24 Hastings-based author Tina Brown will sign copies of her books in store. Tina has written non-fiction books on a variety of subjects including a book on the secret history of Hastings and St Leonards.
