Barriers stay down - again

Level crossing gates need to be shut - but does it have to be for so long?

Barriers stay down - again

On February 25, The Grove level crossing gates stayed closed for a full five minutes, causing a long queue of traffic. The gates were lowered at 7:34am ahead of arrival of the Hastings-bound 7:35am departure. They were not lifted until 7:39am, once the 7:38am departure to Ashford International had cleared them.

This was not the only recent occasion this has happened. Road users are left wondering why the barriers are not being raised between the two trains, as is normally the case.
