Auction house move

Rye Auction Galleries moves closer into town to host its regular sales

Auction house move
Rye Auction Galleries

The Rye Auction Galleries has moved premises to the more central location of 2-3 Rock Channel Quay.

The first auction in its new home will take place on Friday March 15, 2019. The auction will start at 9:30am but you can view the objects an hour earlier from 8:30am (or the day before, Thursday March 14). If you can’t make it to an early viewing, the auction house lists what’s for sale in its catalogue on its website a few days before. You can also bid for an item online at www.easyliveauction.com.

The Rye Auction Galleries covers a large area that includes Rye, Hastings, St Leonards, Battle, Eastbourne, Brighton as well as most of Kent. This will explain why there is such a eclectic number of objects up for auction. The catalogue runs into 22 pages and items on offer this month range from Wedgwood and Royal Doulton porcelain to a mixed selection of watercolours and prints and household furniture.
