To celebrate the launch of the Rye Society of Artists’ (RSA) new website, and in advance of the RSA’s 70th Anniversary Summer Show in 2021, Rye News continues to profile one of their artists each week – including links to their website and social media accounts so you can keep up-to-date on their activities.

This week, the artist in focus is Hazel Brook

Hazel Brook studied at Croydon College of Art, 1961-67 and was taught by various artists including John Hoyland and Alan Jones.

Her abstract paintings and monotypes have been exhibited throughout the UK and abroad. In 2009 she won an award at Originals 09.

In 2012 Albert Irvin selected one of her paintings for Discerning Eye and she was also selected for the first RE Open at the Bankside Gallery, London. Private and corporate collections include Aldi, John Lewis and Royal Bank of Scotland.

You can find more of Hazel’s work on her website and RSA website.
