I’m going to be reviving my one-man show, A Meeting of Minds, a celebration of John Betjeman and Philip Larkin, with essays by Alan Bennett, at the Rye Community Centre on Saturday, April 23 at 7.30pm.
It’s a special charity performance for the Rye Community Centre.

I first did this show at the Rye Arts Festival in 2016 and then later at the Canterbury Festival in 2017. It proved very popular and I wanted to revive it again, but this time for the Rye Community Centre, which is going through difficult times. It’s a wonderful community resource and we must support it, and what better way than to celebrate two of our greatest English poets... and on St George’s Day – it just had to be!
