After a sold out performance as part of the Rye Arts Festival, Martin Wimbush brings "Meeting of Minds" to Rye Creative Centre in aid of ARRCC, for a special performance on October 30. This is a celebration of the life and works of two of our greatest poets, John Betjeman and Philip Larkin with essays by Alan Bennett.
Compiled and performed by Rye based actor Martin Wimbush in a special and unique way, the great poems are re-created as though he were performing a play, presenting them as a soliloquy directly to the audience, with profound and witty quotes from Alan Bennett.
The accessible venue is Rye Creative Centre, New Road on Sunday October 30 at 5pm. Tickets at £10 are available from the Box Office at the Rye Creative Centre (Tel: 01797 229 797) and from the ARRCC charity shop, 7 Cinque Ports Street. There is also free parking and a bar.
