Alright Sausage!

Friends collaborate in new art collective with first exhibition

Two Rye friends have launched their debut art collection. Pictures from Mark Baker and David Angell's first show - The Unkind / Kind Collection - are on show at Ashbees 100 on Rye High Street.

The collection of pictures is their first collaboration from their new joint project Alright Sausage! and is based on the idea that things appear mean can actually be compliments. No strangers to design and creativity, Mark Baker has been a designer and photo retoucher for 25 years, and David Angell has worked in marketing and digital advertising for just over 20.

They started Alright Sausage! as a collective to launch this project, with many more to come in the future. The examples in Ashbees 100 are just 2 of a collection of prints, with the others available to buy on their website.

Both Mark and David live in Rye and use local suppliers to produce their work. They like to think of the Unkind / Kind Collection as having a bit of the Rye pub culture humour in
them.

They also hope their work will inspire people to make the greeting “Alright Sausage!” part of everyday life in Rye.
