Sussex Greenways is holding a fund-raising walk on Sunday July 27, starting at 10.30am in Gibbet Marsh car park. The walk is an 8-mile circular from Rye to Winchelsea then back via Camber Castle to Rye again. The group is raising funds to improve cycle routes in and
around Rye.

“It’s going to be a really interesting walk with loads of history and nature information,” says Jane Bates, one of two guided walk leaders. “I’ve really enjoyed doing the research and the
reconnaissance, making sure that everyone will have a great time.”

A donation of £15 is suggested for the guided walk, or £10 if self-guided (GPX and route map included). Under 18s (must be accompanied) £5. The cost includes refreshments and cake at the finish but bring your own drink / snacks / picnic for the walk itself.

Advance booking (by email info@sussexgreenways.org) is recommended, but you can also turn up and pay on the day.

Sussex Greenways is also running a crowdfunder
