Wine tasting in Rye

A touch of class in a glass
Graeme and Cathy of Rye Fine Wines

If you have not visited Rye Fine Wines, you are missing a treat. Graeme and Cathy are the most generous and welcoming of hosts. Their main aim is to find out what wines you like and to give you a chance to try out new wines which are just perfect for you. I always thought my favourite wine was from New Zealand vineyards but on Saturday I was presented with a French wine which was even better. Normally I don’t drink French wines, sacre bleu, but Graeme had chosen so well I was a convert.

Rye Fine Wines is pleased to announce a fabulous wine-tasting in their cellar of a selection of red and white wines from Puglia, Italy, accompanied by some cheese and a local salami. Hosted by Robert Steel from For The Love of Wine, it will focus on four beautiful wines from boutique vineyards in the Puglia region: two reds and two whites.

Puglia's richly fertile soils and beautiful climate make it a no-brainer as an option for growing grapes. It has a relatively hot and dry climate that is tempered by cool breezes from the surrounding water, resulting in expressive and delicious wines

The tasting will take place at 4pm on Saturday, November 26 at a cost of £30 per person and numbers are limited, so places will be available on a first come, first served basis.

Bookings can be made through the website
