A festive wreath with a difference
Wreath Making at the discovery centre

Rye Harbour Nature Reserve is welcoming Lidiia, a florist from Ukraine, to add some sparkle to your front door this Christmas. The ongoing war in her country, has brought her and her four-year-old son to Hastings, along with her passion and creativity for flower arranging. With over 10 years of experience in creating stunning, one-off pieces, she will spend the afternoon teaching participants how to use fir sprigs, a range of decorative dried flowers and an eye-catching ribbon, to make a unique wreath for your home.

Wreath making

Wreaths are a significant part of Ukrainian culture and its heritage, with each of the flowers and the colour of the ribbon, symbolising messages of celebration, unity and hope. “Every wreath is lovingly handmade and brings a unique charm to your holiday décor this Christmas” said Lidiia.

The workshop is on Sunday December 15, from 1:30pm – 3:30pm. Spaces are limited, so to avoid disappoint book today at Christmas Wreath Workshop - Rye Harbour.
